Externally Sealed Pipette Tips (ESP)

Apricot Designs has introduced proprietary technology known as the Externally Sealed Pipette tips. The external multiple flexible seal rings require little insertion/ejection force for loading/unloading of tips. By design, it eliminates the need of pressurized tip-loading mechanism and the use of O-rings.  This innovative approach greatly enhances seal integrity, system reliability and performance and at the same time reduces cost of maintenance.

For the TPS-series The ESP tips are automatically loaded and unloaded on the pipetting head. No manual loader is required providing simpler operation and allowing for extended walkaway automation with disposable tips. For the PP-series ESP tips are used with Apricot's EZ Load pipetting head design. No manual loader is required; the user simply drops the tips directly from the rack into the pipetting head and they are ready to go.

ESP tips are available in 125µl, 50 and 15 µl versions. We also custom design and manufacture pipette tips for your particular application.

		ESP Tips for Apricot TPS Series Pipettors. The TPS pipettor will automatically load and unload the correct number of tips required for the programmed operation. These tips are compatible with the following head series for TPS pipettors: TPS24-A-01-ESP TPS384-A-01-ESP TPS384-A-01-096ESP

High Volume Pipette Tips

Apricot also manufactures disposable traditional-style pipette tips for Apricot pipettors. We design and manufacture 550 µl disposable pipette tips made of premium research grade polypropylene.

550-UTW (Ultra Thin Wall) Pipette Tips

• Highly hydrophobic -- minimum fluid retention
• Thin wall at tip end -- increases accuracy
• Small size at tip end -- ideal for 384 and 96-well labware
• Sterilization -- autoclavable to 120C

The Apricot 550 tips are available in 2 types of packaging. The "R" packaging works with the EZ-Load heads but is not compatible for robotic automation. The "B" packaging fits the SBS microplate footprint standard and is compatible with robotic automation for tip box replacement on TPS pipettors. The "B" packaging also features a space-saving stacking design. Apricot 550-R tips can be loaded without any mechanical tip loader mechanism with the new EZ-Load pipettor heads. The user simply drops the rack of tips into the EZ-Load head and it is ready to be loaded onto the pipettor. Both tip packages feature a retention collar that keeps the tips in alignment while they are loaded on the pipettor head.

		Biomek FX-compatible Tips for Apricot TPS Series Pipettors. For Biomek FX compatible disposable tips used on a PP series, the Apricot 550-A-20N Tip Loader/Ejector and 550-A-45N Tip Supporting Plate are used to load and unload tips.
